Big changes are coming to Singapore’s bus industry, and commuters are invited to have a hand in the new, updated looks of the city-state’s public buses.
Namely, you just have to vote either ‘bright red’ or ‘lush green’ as the colour of the new liveries. No other colours, just those two.
What big changes are coming though? Kicking off into full steam this year is the fact that all bus assets will be owned by the government in a bid to produce a more efficient public transport service.
Bus depots, buses, ticketing, bus interchanges — they’ll be settled by the government. Bus services however will be run by private bus operators, and they’ll be the ones maintaining service standards.

The reorganisation is fascinating and all, but surely there are more colours to choose from than just green or red?
