On Feb. 8, Virgin Active will kick off classes for a more challenging and exciting Zumba variation using steps.
Called Zumba Step, this new class encourages participants to use more energy to lift their body weight against gravity and incorporates an intense lower-body workout into the predominantly cardio exercise.
Said Zumba CEO Alberto Perlman, “I’ve seen steps stacked in the corner, collecting dust in gyms all over the world. We’re now going to put them to use like never before.”
