Viral Now: SMRT staff ask passengers for a pair of scissors to resolve delay

Seriously, it doesn’t just rain, it pours for the sole train service operator in Singapore.

Citizens are already busy talking up the proposed fare hikes and the coinciding service disruptions, but SMRT wants to add another into the fold.

Today, citizen news site The Real Singapore uploaded a video of SMRT staff asking passengers if anyone had a pair of scissors to lend them, over the Public Announcement (PA) system.

The train was stationary, but not docked at a station, which suggests it was going through some technical problems.
