Vietnamese woman falls to her death from West Coast Highway

A tragic accident left a 25-year-old Vietnamese woman dead when she fell from the West Coast Highway, the elevated expressway running above Pasir Panjang Road and Telok Blangah Road.

It was believed that she and a man were travelling on a motorcycle along West Coast Highway yesterday before she threw herself off the bike onto Telok Blangah Road below, The Straits Times reported. She fell to her death, landing in front of a bus stop near Seah Im Food Centre.

Police found the woman lying motionless on the ground and was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. The man refused to be brought to hospital.

Police have classified the case as an unnatural death; investigations are ongoing.
