The ‘samurai’ who took the MRT train wielding two swords on Dec. 16 was caught on the same day and identified as 39-year-old Peter Chua, whom sources say is an instructor at a local iado club. According to eyewitnesses, he had jumped the fare gate at Paya Lebar MRT station and alighted at Dhoby Ghaut.
This video shows the police trailing him as he slow jogs out on the streets before arresting him right by one of Earnest Zacharevic’s murals on Victoria Street.
