In creating a promo video for their comedy sitcom series Spouse For House, Mediacorp may just have crafted a dangerous weapon of mass distraction with the most irritating music video you can ever watch today.

Starring Golden Horse Award nominee Chen Tianwen (Ilo Ilo, Ah Boys to Men), the veteran actor belts out classic lines such as “you blossom like a flower / I so stunned like vegetable” and “please be the metal cable to my cable car” in typical ’80s karaoke video fashion — and ends up with an un-un-un-un-believable two minutes and 14 seconds of cringeworthy schtick.
Apparently there’ll be another special music video that’ll be premiering tomorrow at 10pm too. Can’t wait.
