Like a scene out of The Dark Knight, a lorry blazed furiously in flames along Lentor Avenue yesterday evening.
In a footage caught on video by Facebook user Hafiz Junior, a stationary lorry belonging to moving company Vimbox Movers Singapore was spotted engulfed in strong flames, blowing thick plumes of black smoke into the sky.
According to the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the incident occurred around 7pm and a Light Fire Attack Vehicle and a fire engine was despatched to put out the blaze. Reportedly, no one was hurt during the incident. Traffic was brought to a standstill due to Traffic Police closing off the whole stretch of the road going towards Ang Mo Kio.
The SCDF are currently conducting investigations.
