The Housing Development Board (HDB) recently released yet another feels short film as a sequel to their equally tear-jerking video The Promise. This time, a son has his love for his father tested in the patriarch’s frail days — and the solution comes in the form of a new HDB flat.
Even Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong was moved by HDB’s short film, wishing a happy Father’s Day and reminding folks to cherish their dads when they are still around. Of course, the passing of his own father — and also the founding father of modern Singapore — Lee Kuan Yew was not far from his mind when he wrote the post.
“Treasure your father when he is still with you, even if some days are more challenging than others,” he wrote.
