With the Philippines known for its beautiful beaches and islands, one would expect the Filipino divers to take to diving like a duck takes to water, but unfortunately two Filipino divers proved to be like a fish out of water at the ongoing 28th SEA Games in Singapore.
John Elmerson Fabriga and John David Pahoyo both earned zero points for their poor performance after ungracefully landing on their backs with a resounding splash. If it’s any consolation, at least both Johns have got each other’s backs in this bromantic display. Had this been a freestyle diving competition, they would’ve nailed it. ‘Nuff said.
Their efforts were commendable, but perhaps they should explore their untapped potential in the aquatic entertainment industry.
