Ooh, that was fast!
987FM radio DJs Dee Kosh and Divian Nair put in their two cents worth on the issue of (not) being a proud Singaporean, only a couple of hours after controversial K-pop Star Hunt 3 finalist Stephanie Koh posted her video.
In their response, The Double Ds as they’re known on air, refute Koh’s stand, saying that while there are some things the city-state can do to improve, as a whole, “the pros heavily outweigh the cons”.
“Like with every country, things can improve,” said Dee Kosh, and Divian agreed.
“But as compared to other countries, there is less to improve here,” he responded.
Divian also said that Koh’s anger was partly due to her own failure as a musician, citing The Sam Willows and Shigga Shay as examples of successful local artists.
In summary, the DJ duo is worried that “kids” will be influenced by Koh’s “self-centred rant” and urges Singaporeans not to be “spoilt brats”.
And that’s that.
Except, not really.
Watch all the way to the end to find out what else they said (or did).
Here’s a clue:
