Sitting alongside other oddly named stations such as Kangkar, Tongkang and Renjong, the Kupang Station will open for passenger service on June 27.
Located west of Sengkang Riverside Park, the station will cater to commuters moving into the new residential developments in the north-eastern district. It was closed previously due to a lack of general people in the area as the new HDB blocks and other developments were still being built.
The increase in average daily ridership on the both the Sengkang and Puggol LRT lines has also prompted SBS transit to increase the weekly trips and frequency of trips on both services.
Yet another LRT station that will prompt your friends to go “ha?” when they ask which stop you alight at.
