Singaporean student found dead in California apartment

Singaporean student Thu Yain “Roy” Kyaw, was found dead in his apartment in California on Monday, Oct. 28.

According to the Los Angeles Times, Kyaw,a second-year student from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC), was said to be unconscious and not breathing when his brother found him.

Kyaw was declared dead at the scene and foul play was ruled out.

He was seen two days earlier at a party and his death may be related to alcohol but it was too early to tell. An autopsy would have to be performed to confirm the cause.

Kyaw’s Facebook profile shows that he was from St. Andrew’s Junior College and was a third sergeant of the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
