Two toddlers were saved from a gnarly fire last night.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force said it responded to a fire at Block 218 Marsiling Crescent at 10:40pm last night and rescued two toddlers found conscious in a living room.

“Upon SCDF’s arrival, the fire was raging and thick black smoke was emitting from the unit,” SCDF wrote last night.

They have been sent to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. About 60 others were evacuated from the block.

SCDF said the fire started in a bedroom. The cause is under investigation.

It added that a Good Samaritan tried to force open the door to rescue the toddlers.
