In a rather frighteningly grim scene at Yishun, a teenage boy and a girl were found dead at the foot of a HDB block a little after the clock struck 12am yesterday morning.
Residents of Block 803 along Yishun Ring Road mentioned to The New Paper that they heard a loud thud around midnight, but were unsure of what it was. 28-year-old Poon Wai Kit received a horrid shock while walking back home from a convenience store. He spotted the two bodies lying in a gruesome pool of blood near the rubbish chute area.
Police arrived at the scene shortly, pronouncing the 16-year-old boy and the 15-year-old girl — both Filipino — dead at the scene. Though suicidal intent was not confirmed, it seems like it may be so as a group of teenagers were spotted lighting candles at the 12th storey stairwell of the block last night.
Investigations are still ongoing.
