The Ministry of Manpower (MOM) lodged police reports on Nov. 29 and Nov. 30 after discovering two duplicate websites — www.momgov.sg and www.movgov.sg.
In a statement on its Facebook page, MOM said that members of the public should only use its official website regarding all informational and transactional needs concerning MOM matters.
It also reassured the public that the official website remains unaffected and no data have been compromised.
www.momgov.sg has since been deleted, but MOM stated that it will take two days for servers worldwide to effect its deletion.
No reason has been stated as to why the duplicate websites were set up.
