Two Chinese nationals land in trouble for public brawl over woman in fast-food restaurant

These dudes give love a bad name. An small argument between two Chinese nationals over a woman escalated into a full blown brawl in front of fast-food diners, ending in blood, tears and bruised egos.

The two lovelorn fools had met up at the fast-food restaurant in Sembawang’s Sun Plaza shopping mall to discuss matters about the lady they were fighting over — and she was there for the spectacle too. The New Paper reports that 27-year-old Ding Zhi Gang wanted to settle things with 36-year-old Wang Yungang, who used to be in a relationship with his girlfriend.

Things took a dramatic turn when Wang splashed a cup of coke onto Ding’s face, who retaliated with a punch to Wang’s face. Wang then swung a chair at his adversary, which hit his forehead. The two then tussled on the floor like children, with Wang even biting Ding’s ear during the fracas. The fight only ended when a diner from another restaurant came over to pull them apart.

The melee left both Chinese nationals in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital with multiple bruises and cuts.

Ding has since been slapped with a $1,000 fine for disturbing public peace, while Wang’s case is still pending. The girl on the other hand, presumably feels lucky that two men were willing to fight to the end for her.
