According to The Straits Times, an employee of Northland Primary School found a severely injured cat on the school premises last week. Though it was conveyed to Mount Pleasant animal clinic, it did not survive its injuries, said to be trauma to the spine due to a direct hit or kick.

The second cat was found around 2km away from the school, near Yishun Neighbourhood Park — also with the same trauma to its spine.

Speaking to the paper, The Cat Welfare Society believes that the recent cases are connected to the string of cat deaths reported around Northland Primary since September last year.

A male suspect was identified in relation to the cat killings, and officers from the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority had been dispatched to warn the man. Warnings ain’t shit though — something more serious should be done.

Meanwhile, another netizen also posted on Facebook alerting the public about a case of hamster abuse. Apparently, someone had thrown down the hamsters from Block 456 along Yishun Street 41:

Some sick folks living in the Yishun/Sembawang district just seem to really hate animals. Earlier in July, a series of community cat killings shocked the neighbourhood’s cat lovers, believed to be related to a complaint filed about them two years ago.
