Turns out, you CAN be fined if you park your car like an a-hole

In an assuring piece of information that should cause some dismay against those who just can’t be effed about parking properly, the authorities can and will fine motorists who park outside the allotted space.

It may not be a new revelation to some, but both the Urban Renewal Authority (URA) and the Housing Development Board (HDB) does have rules against awful vehicle parking. Motorists guilty of parking beyond the boundaries of a parking lot (and causing obstruction to others) can be fined up from $25 to $200, depending on the type of vehicle and severity of hindrance.

Roads.sg gave a heads up to all negligent parkers (and outright doucheoisies) earlier today when they uploaded an image of a bad parker’s ticket.

Netizens however don’t believe it’s a heavy enough penalty — especially considering those who park like the whole carpark belongs to them are usually those of the more… affluent persuasion.
