The current stormy weather is absolutely excellent for those lounging in bed this cold Tuesday, but not so for the many others who are stuck in the rain outside.
Flash floods hit several parts of the country today due to extremely heavy rain, resulting in the Public Utilities Board highlighting Boon Keng Road, Stevens Road, Cuscaden Road and other high flood risk areas as being swamped by the rising waters.

It was particularly bad right outside Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre in Orchard, where a poor Mazda got itself stranded in the middle of the pop-up pond.
But the Mazda fared better there than it would have along Stevens Road, where a lightning strike totally obliterated a huge chunk of wall. According to a Stomp contributor, the lightning sent bricks and debris flying all over the road — and you definitely did not want to be anywhere nearby when that happened.
