Troubled Battlestar Galactica roller coaster ride re-opens to public this Wednesday at USS

Universal Studios Singapore’s (USS) most notoriously troubled attraction seems to be getting a new lease of life after Resorts World Sentosa announced today that the roller coaster ride Battlestar Galactica: HUMAN vs. CYLON will be re-opening this Wednesday.

The world’s tallest duelling roller coasters will take to the skies once again with all-new ride vehicles that promise to give each rider a more intimate and personal ride experience.

Comprising of the suspended ‘Human’ coaster and seated ‘Cylon’ coaster, the ride features several near collisions mere inches apart.

To celebrate the return of the ride, the theme park will run a special promotion from May 27 to July 31, where Singapore residents can purchase a USS Adult Day Pass at $68, which comes with a free meal and gift.

Though it was slated to be the biggest attraction in the theme park, the ride was closed twice since 2010 due to technical problems and pending safety reviews.
