Train services on North-South line won’t be suspended today after all

Commuters rejoice — after the disastrous SMRT calamity yesterday evening that affected everyone islandwide, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) found no further problems bugging train lines this morning, and will not be suspending the North-South line today.

Initially announcing that operations on the red line will be temporarily halted from 11am to 4pm today for further investigations into the fault, LTA mentioned that no power tripping has been observed since both the North-South and East-West lines resumed this morning. Trains might go slower though, so prepare to add more minutes to your estimated travel time.

Right now, the CEOs of SMRT and LTA are holding a joint press conference about the train service disruptions that wrecked Singapore yesterday. Good luck to them.
