SBS tweeted out at 6:20pm about delays on the NEL due to a Punggol-bound train fault at Clarke Quay MRT station. The 10 minutes additional travel time was soon upped to another 15 minutes in delays. In both directions.

Free bus services were launched at designated bus stops between Outram Park and Farrer Park MRT stations. Train services between those two stations went kaput around 7:04pm.

Things only started settling down after 7:53pm when SBS progressively fixed it all up.
16/11, 8.03pm: NEL is progressively back to regular svc at affected stns at 7:53pm. Trains are now in full svc at all stns.
