Singapore reported 12 new cases last night mostly involving people likely infected abroad.
They included three Air Force officers who were recently in France on official duties and two Singaporean men who traveled through Europe. Two Filipino family members who visited a relative suffering from pneumonia in the Philippines and an Indonesian woman who was already ill in Indonesia were also among Singapore’s newest cases.
The Health Ministry also revealed three cases linked to a climbing gym at the Aperia Mall in Kallang. Boulder+ Climbing said it has ceased operations in the meantime.
After a total of four military personnel took ill – a fourth case in the Air Force was announced earlier this week – the Defence Ministry announced that two other officers who had been serving in Europe with those who took ill were quarantined at home as a precautionary measure.
