It was that time of the month again for the MRT to trouble daily commuters during the morning rush hour. A track fault at Clementi this morning caused delays on the East-West Line from 7.46am onwards.
Ten-minute delays worsened to 15 minutes before they turned into an additional 20-minute annoyance for folks travelling from Joo Koon MRT station towards Clementi.
[EWL]: Due to a track fault, pls add 10 mins travel time from #JooKoon to #Clementi towards #PasirRis. Train service is still available.

SMRT eventually cleared the track fault, but it took some time for the trains to return to normal speed.

It was only at about 9.50am that train services resumed properly. By then, SMRT should already have been bombarded with the usual barrage of complaints, sarcastic comments and dank reaction memes — but we guess they’re used to the abuse by now.
[EWL]UPDATE:Fault cleared, trains are running normally now.
