Tigerair to begin flights to Jinan in September

Known as the City of Springs, Jinan has been a cultural centre for over 2,000 years, having been described in The Travels of Marco Polo. Tigerair will begin flights to the Shandong province capital on Sept. 16 with all-in, one-way promotional fares available from $155.

Jinan gets its nickname from the 72 artesian springs dotted throughout the city, the most famous of which is the Five Dragon Pool. The famous Tang Dynasty general Qin Shubao is said to have lived by its waters, and the pool today is surrounded by a popular park. Other attractions in and around the city include Thousand Buddha Mountain, the Four Gates Pagoda and the Shandong Provincial Museum.

The weekly service departs Singapore at 12:30pm on Tuesdays and returns at 7:30am on Wednesdays. Flight time is six hours and ten minutes. To make your bookings, head to Tigerair’s website.
