Dog lovers, listen up. There’s a dog festival making its debut in October, and it’s called All ‘Bout Canines. Pencil it into your calendar to bring your fluffy pet on a mini road trip to Bugis for fun times. There’ll be a treasure hunt filled with treats and toys for the dogs, while owners can try their hand at art jamming, where they paint their pet’s portrait with the help of an artist.

If you’re in need of retail therapy (for your pup), brands like Ohpopdog and FuzzYard will be displaying their wares. The former sells handcrafted apparel made with lightweight, summer-friendly materials, while the latter has a funky selection of collars, leashes, toys and beds.
Another vendor to look out for is gosh! — their smart food and water feeder allows you to feed, see and speak to your pet in real time through a webcam, which we imagine would come in handy for when you’re at the office. Then there’s The Barkery, which makes gourmet offerings like Bark-Kwa and Turkey Jerky from all-natural ingredients.

Oh, and look out for Bobo the skateboarding dog, as well as canine athletes racing through obstacle courses and four-legged models trotting down the ‘runway’.
Even if you don’t have a canine bestie, you’re more than welcome to check it out (and perhaps bring home a furry friend at the adoption drive). To learn more about responsible pet ownership, attend educational talks and activities at the carnival.
All ‘Bout Canines is from Oct 22-23, 11am-9pm at Tan Quee Lan Field, 22 Tan Quee Lan St. Early bird tickets $10, regular tickets $15, free for kids under 12.
