After undergoing a facelift, the newly-revamped Shell station at Tampines Avenue 2 offers more amenities for motorists and cyclists. At the Shell-owned convenience retail store Shell Select, you’ll find a range of pastries and ready-to-eat locally-inspired meals like laksa pasta under food label Deli by Shell. Also on offer are local ice cream creations developed with ice cream brand Wall’s.

For those who get hit with cravings for the Golden Arches at all times of the day (or night), the station operates Singapore’s first 24-hour drive-thru in a petrol service station. The space only focuses on takeaways, so you can grab McDonald’s to go whenever you want.

Other new service amenities include a SingPost POPStation and a newspaper vending machine. The space also features a ‘Take a Brake’ bicycle bay — the first of its kind in a petrol service station — for cyclists to rest between journeys or do minor repairs on their bikes.
Even if you don’t live anywhere near Tampines, similar revamps across the 57 Shell stations island-wide will take place throughout the next couple years, differing according to customer and locational needs.
