Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong extends his thanks to those in the massive queue to his father’s wake at the Parliament House this morning.

He shared photos of the various scenes, saying he “was moved by the huge crowds who came”.

Mr. Lee himself walked outside the Parliament House in the later part of the day to meet with those in the queue. He took a photo of a group of them, describing the mood as “sorrowful but not downcast”.

“We are in good spirits!” he wrote.

We brought my father’s body to Parliament House this morning. Was moved by the huge crowds who came. Thank you for queuing so many hours in the hot sun to say goodbye to Mr Lee. – LHL
