At a time of national mourning (a year of it) for Thailand’s late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, the Royal Thai Embassy has opened its doors to all who wish to pay their respects.
The public are welcome to pen their condolences at the embassy off Orchard Road from Monday (Oct 17) to Friday (Oct 21) from 10am to 12.30pm and 2pm to 4.30pm. Thai nationals in Singapore can sign the book of condolences starting today from 4pm to 9pm, as well as the whole weekend from 10am to 9pm.

King Bhumibol passed away last night at the age of 88 at Siriraj Hospital in Bangkok. For the last decade, King Bhumibol has had health issues that have included bacterial infections, breathing difficulties, heart issues and fluid in the brain.
The well-loved royal figure is known as the world’s longest-reigning monarch, and will soon be succeeded on the throne by his son, Crown Prince Maha Vajiralongkorn.
