Teen arrested for attempted suicide at ITE College West

A troubled teen attempted to kill himself yesterday at the campus grounds of ITE College West at Chua Chu Kang.

Fortunately, the 18-year-old man’s attempted was thwarted and he was restrained by school staff and police officers, according to a report on Stomp. He was subsequently arrested, due to the illegality of the act in Singapore.

Reportedly, the distressed teen even lashed out at the police officers during the ordeal.

This isn’t the first time people have attempted to commit suicide at ITE colleges — a student jumped to her death at ITE College East after claiming she was molested by a school counsellor.
