Footage of the incident showed a blast of fire exploding unexpectedly through a crowd of spectators at a performance at the recreational park’s stage during the Color Play Asia event — various reports noted that the unknown flammable substance caught fire and blew up in midair. The powder sprayed during the event had ignited along the ground, burning people’s lower bodies.

Central News Agency reports that firefighters quickly brought the blaze under control, but not before hundreds got injured during the sudden turn of events.

According to the Singapore Trade Office in Taipei, Singaporean Megan Loy is believed to be one of the casualties sustaining serious injuries, and is currently in Shuang Ho hospital in New Taipei City, Channel NewsAsia reports. The Singapore Trade Office is said to be in touch with her family.
