When it comes to the best taxis in the world, Singapore enjoys an impressive no. 8 ranking amongst 30 countries — on par with countries like Bangkok, Bogota, Mumbai, Vancouver and Las Vegas.

According to the Global Taxi Survey by Hotels.com, seven criteria are used to assess the importance cab rides, with safety as the most important factor to customers. The others are: value, knowledge of area, availability, quality of driving, cleanliness and friendliness.
London’s iconic black cab topped five criteria on the list, making it the best cab in the world — a title it has held for a consecutive six years — taking up nearly a quarter of the votes in the survey.
