A recent survey done by children’s party planning company My Party Rocks, shows that 54 percent of parents that throw birthday parties for their kids spend over $400 — 800 on each shindig.
15 percent would spend $800 to $1,500 and seven percent would spend over $1,500.
Additionally, of the 100 Singaporean parents surveyed, 70 percent say birthday parties are important for their children, but 46 percent admitted to being too busy to plan them.
Over 40 percent of parents are open to hiring party planners for their kids’ birthday parties.
Catering the growing demand for children’s parties in Singapore, My Party Rocks is throwing a Children’s Party Showcase to showcase party themes and entertainment options. If you deign every year to pull together a party environment you stopped enjoying a decade ago, this event will help. See princesses, pirates and superheroes in costume, and get your kids to try out the bouncy castle and other installations, and you’ll probably have a better idea of what and who to book the next time someone has a birthday. (Pssst. You get 15 percent off when you make your bookings at the event.)
My Party Rocks is also inviting 20 kids from the Children Aid Society’s Melrose Home to enjoy the activities at no cost as part of The Grandstand’s corporate social responsibility efforts.
The Children’s Party Showcase is happening Jan. 18 — 19, 10am — 7pm at the open area outside South Grandstand, 200 Turf Club Road.
