More street felines across Singapore will be getting their left ears tipped when the Stray Cat Sterilisation Programme gets expanded to cover more areas, according to Minister of State for National Development Dr. Koh Poh Koon.
The Government hopes to sterilise 20,000 more stray cats when the programme gets expanded to cover industrial and commercial areas, as well as private estates.
The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) and the Cat Welfare Society will continue working with the Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) in the sterilisation and micro-chipping of stray cats in HDB estates and beyond.
Speaking of which, what happened to the charged Yishun cat abusers?
