A freak accident near Balmoral Plaza left a sports car lying on its side in a ditch and its driver in hospital on Tuesday night.
The police were alerted to the scene at 9:07pm, where an accident involving a car and a pedestrian transpired along Bukit Timah Road. A 57-year-old man and a 31-year-old man were conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital that night.
A witness who spoke to The Straits Times noted that a man had been lying down motionless on the grass near the drain — conscious, but “in deep pain and anguish”. Bystanders had to pull a man out from the black sports car that somehow ended up in the ditch.
Ariffin Jamar was at the scene to snap some pictures and uploaded them onto Facebook.
