SPCA and AVA investigating case of cat thrown to death from height at Redhill

Another day, another dark case of animal abuse in Singapore. According to Facebook user Fariq Abm, he had been out and about at Redhill delivering popsicles in the neighbourhood when a loud thud was heard near him.

A grey cat had allegedly been thrown down from height at Block 89 along Redhill Close, where it sustained a broken leg and shattered mouth. Alerted about the case, SPCA sent an officer to the scene but it died before rescue arrived. “No witnesses have stepped forward so far”, SPCA wrote.

The Agri-Food and Veterinary Authority (AVA) are conducting investigations into the case.

Just last month, police arrested a 25-year-old man who was said to have savagely killed a cat in the vicinity of Tampines Street 83. The young man was seen slamming the cat onto the ground twice before trying to burn it with a lighter, which is really fucked up.
