We’ve already said our piece yesterday about the official demise of dabbing when it popped up (awfully) in Channel 8’s Chinese New Year music video (RIP dabs).
Alas, we’ll just have to show the whole thing to you again to set the context. Relish the reluctant faces of these Channel 8 celebs, who were no doubt forced to participate in the millennial dance move just to ensure that the promo would be, you know, Hip And Relevant.
Daniel Peters — editor of local music portal Bandwagon — believed that their level of Hipness And Relevance could be turnt turned up even higher. Paying tribute to the Atlanta roots of dabbing, he spliced Atlanta hip hop trio Migos’ 2016 banger ‘Bad and Boujee‘ into the video. The result is this surreal spawn of bad dabbing and badass beats appropriately titled ‘Bad and Guji’:
