SMRT Taxis is venturing into the private hire car business for the first time with the launch of Strides Transportation. A 300-strong fleet of brand new Toyota Altis sedans will be introduced progressively over the next six months to offer limousine, chauffeur and car rental services. Other luxury vehicles like the Lexus ES Hybrid and Toyota Vellfire will also be on hand for corporate clients.
Plus, Strides has signed a year-long partnership with GrabCar to allow up to 200 Strides drivers to receive bookings exclusively from the Grab app, in exchange for performance-related cash incentives.
Looks like we’ll soon have more transport options to choose from (and more cars to jam up the expressways).
