A man has been firmly lauded by the public for the act of having found a lost check at Changi Airport and depositing it for the stranger.
According to Mohd Ridwan Malik in a Facebook post last Tuesday, the check made out by Eternal Life Assembly Church was found at Changi Airport MRT station. The SMRT assistant station manager wrote that the person who lost the check shouldn’t worry because he already dropped it in a UOB deposit box at the airport’s Terminal 2 basement, with video evidence to prove it.
That’s pretty much it. Really, what other alternatives are there if you found a misplaced check — be an asshole and toss it away? The check for nearly $450 already had the payee’s name on it and the option to cash it for the check bearer was already crossed out, so the only logical thing left to do is slot it in a deposit box.
Nonetheless, props to Ridwan for doing the right thing, with hundreds of netizens sharing his post on Facebook to praise him for the good deed.
