When the new Bukit Panjang Integrated Transport Hub (ITH) opens on Sept 4, so does SMRT’s first WeCare Shop. So what, you ask, presumably vexed to no end thanks to the never-ending train delays.

Well, at this first-of-its-kind store, you can take home umbrellas, shopping trolleys and power banks for free, reported The Straits Times. Unfortunately, you won’t get to keep ’em — you’ll eventually have to return the items in three days, or risk getting, well, a reminder phone call. How positively spine-chilling. But really though, don’t be a dick; many others could use the service.

According to Channel NewsAsia, other initiatives at the new transport hub include interactive info kiosks, an open concept passenger services counter, 120 bicycle racks, mobile device charging stations and barrier-free facilities.

As Singapore’s ninth ITH and the first ITH to be operated by SMRT Buses, this Bukit Panjang one will integrate the new bus interchange with the Hillion Mall and the LRT and MRT stations.
