An infant has died from getting entangled with the cord from the SMILA wall mounted lamp, prompting IKEA Singapore to remind parents that the product should be kept away from children, especially if they are in a cot or playpen.
Customers who want to return their lamp can do so at the Exchange and Returns Counters in either IKEA Tampines or IKEA Alexandra.
Alternatively, they can contact the IKEA customer service at 6786 6868 to receive a free repair kit containing a warning label, safety instructions and self-adhesive fasterners for fixing the lamp cord to the wall.
