Skull-breaking trio charged with causing grievous harm with a spanner

This is just brutal. For attacking a man with a spanner and breaking his skull, two Malaysian men and a Singaporean woman have been charged this morning for causing grievous harm.

Twenty-eight-year-old Muniandy P Selvam, 35-year-old Rajkumar Ponnapolam and 40-year-old Chiu Hwee Leng are accused of grievously injuring Wang Lixin near a lift at the void deck of Block 228 along Jurong East Street 21 last Tuesday, TODAY reports.

The trio attacked Wang with a 30-cm long spanner, causing him to suffer a fractured skull.

They have been offered bail and will return to court on May 15. If found guilty, they could face life imprisonment or up to 15 years with a fine as well as caning.
