A 35-year-old woman passed away on Sept. 30 from dengue, making it the sixth death recorded in Singapore this year as a result of the virus.
She was said to have sought medical attention at Khoo Tech Puat Hospital on Sept. 28, where she was admitted after being confirmed she was suffering from dengue.
The woman, who resided at Yishun Ring Road, was treated at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and given blood transfusions, but her condition had continued to deteriorate.
