Six young men have been arrested for suspected involvement in a series of motor vehicle theft cases across Singapore between Feb 13 to Feb 20.
The men — or rather, boys — aged between 13 and 23 were arrested on Feb 25 at Taman Jurong. Their operation hit places including Jurong West and Ang Mo Kio, and police officers from Jurong and Clementi Police Division eventually recovered two of the stolen vehicles at Tah Ching Road.
All six suspects will be charged in court today. If convicted of theft of motor vehicle with common intention, each suspect faces a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
