We’re pretty sure that not a lot of folks need this much mobile data or have the means to spill hundreds of dollars each month, but hey, it’s always good to have options.
Should you ever require up to 50GB of monthly mobile data, Singtel has it. For the price of $321 per month. What a steal!
Launched at the PC Show yesterday, Singtel’s DataMore bundle offers options ranging from five to 50GB, which is way bigger than its rivals’ deals. M1 offers data add-ons of up to 10GB, while Starhub only goes up to 3GB.
Considered to be the largest mobile data bundle in Singapore, DataMore is also the only plan that can be shared with multiple users — Singtel says it’s ideal for heavy data-using families.
“Our customers want more data for less, and that’s exactly what they’ll get with the new supersized DataMore bundles,” enthused Singtel’s Vice President of Mobile Marketing Diana Chen.
“The flexibility to share the bundles with family and loved ones allows them to enjoy even greater cost savings. Now everyone can enjoy more entertainment and content on-the-move at the most affordable rates.”
Riiight. Meanwhile, new telco upstart Circles.Life threaten to disrupt the usual mobile contract-binding system with modular mobile service plans. Fibre broadband provider MyRepublic also plan to introduce unlimited mobile data should they score the bid to be Singapore’s fourth telco. For now, both their deals sound way more attractive than paying $321 a month.
