SingPost releases new stamps as tribute to Singapore’s past

If you’re one of them luddites who still sending out snail mails out, or you just really really like stamps for some reason, SingPost has a treat for you. 

Starting today, all post offices will be selling two new sets of stamps paying homage to Singapore’s rich cultural heritage, depicting past street scenes vanishing trades of local tradesmen including cobblers, ice-ball sellers, parrot astrologists, songkok makers and more — all designed by artist Ms Lim An-Ling.

SingPost is also releasing the Special Collector’s Sheet comprising six stamps from both lo and high value definitive stamp issues, along with various other product packages. All stamps are also available for purchase at the Singapore Philatelic Museum and online at Omigo.

If you’re the type who still sends out Christmas greeting cards, SingPost offers special festive postage rates from Dec. 4 to Dec. 25. More details available on the SingPost website.
