Singapore’s JAAN and Waku Ghin make it to the world’s top 100 restaurants

Feel the Singapore foodie pride — two local dining establishments have made it into the world’s top 100 restaurants.

JAAN — the intimate 40-seat restaurant offering modern French cuisine at Swissôtel The Stamford — clinched the 74th spot, trailing at the heels of celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal’s The Fat Duck eatery in the UK.

Marina Bay Sands’ highly-acclaimed Japanese restaurant Waku Ghin ranks at number 70, helmed by celebrity chef Tetsuya Wakuda, whose flagship restaurant in Sydney has always reached the top 50 in the list.

At number 51 sits high-concept Danish restaurant Geranium, which is oddly situated at the eighth floor od Denmark’s national soccer stadium.

Sponsored by S.Pellegrino and Aequa Panna, The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2015 list will be announced in London on June 1.
