Singaporeans who helped lift trailer truck to rescue SoKor man now in Seoul

The selfless Singaporeans who rushed to the scene of an accident that left a young South Korean man trapped under a trailer truck last July are currently in Seoul as guests of the Korea Tourism Organisation

The four-day tour will take them around the capital and surrounding areas. “For some of the Singaporeans, it was their first time in South Korea. Some came with families and friends for the tour,” reports Channel NewsAsia.

The amateur video, which will surely restore your faith in humanity, was shot from the sixth floor of a building by Facebook user Foo Suan Wang around lunchtime.

It captures random passersby spontaneously rushing to the truck and, without waiting for instructions, lifting the truck so the man, who was lying face down with one of his legs pinned under the truck’s middle tyre, could be rescued.

There were around 30 people who helped, and it is not sure how many of them were Singaporeans. According to this New Paper report, of the two men who helped remove the man from under the truck, one was a Filipino citizen named ‘Dennis’ and another was Indian.
