The MyRepublic telco reported broadband connectivity issues today in the third such incident to hit Singaporeans since they were told to stay home in April.

Subscribers living in the north and west were among those affected, the telco announced online this morning. It also apologized for the inconvenience and updated at 10:15am that the situation was resolved, around two hours after its first update.

Some subscribers said the broadband connectivity was restored within hours while others continued to face issues.

While some users are reporting resumption of service, our network team is currently working to restore connectivity for all affected customers. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and will update when we can confirm the issue has been resolved,” a statement at 9:10am read.

The ISP has been aware of the issue at least since 8:30am, according to its original update at that time.

“We are aware of a potential network connectivity issue affecting broadband customers in the north and west of the island. Our network team is currently investigating and we will share an update on the situation when we have more information.”

Just two weeks ago, M1 broadband subscribers experienced an internet outage that lasted nearly 24 hours. That came a month after Starhub internet subscribers faced a similar incident.
