Singaporeans are biggest drinkers of Scotch Whisky

US and France may be the two largest importers of Scotch Whisky — shipping in the spirit at £800 million ($1.667 billion) and £390 million ($813 million) respectively — but Singaporeans are its biggest drinkers.

According to a data released by the Scotch Whisky Association, Singaporeans drink a whopping average of 12.76 bottles of Scotch Whisky per person per year. The second biggest drinkers in the world are Latvians, averaging at 6.91 bottles per person per year.

US and France?

Well, they’re not anywhere close. French drink an average of 2.56 bottles and Americans, less than half a bottle at 0.39 bottles.
